Magnet suction calculation formula
Time:07/05/2019
Working on magnets, I want to know how the suction of a strong magnet is calculated. How much is the suction of a certain size of NdFeB magnet? Can the suction of the magnet be calculated? The following is a description of the formula for calculating the suction force of a powerful magnet.
According to the powerful magnet encyclopedia: the neodymium iron boron magnet itself is 640 times its own weight, that is, it can absorb 640 times its own weight. Under normal circumstances, the neodymium iron boron magnet can absorb 600 times its own weight.
For example: the block NdFeB magnet grade is: N35, the specification is: 30mm × 15mm × 5mm. Magnet suction calculation formula: magnet volume × density × 600 (multiple).
1. Magnet density: The density of N35 is about 7.5 g/cm 3 . To understand the density of magnets, read: "Ferrite, injection magnetic, sintered NdFeB, what is the density of bonded NdFeB? 》
Second, the weight of the magnet: volume × density (30mm × 15mm × 5mm) × 0.0075 = 16.875 g
Third, the magnet suction: 16.875 × 600 = 10125 grams

It can be seen that a 30 mm × 15 mm × 5 mm square magnet can suck up about 10.125 kg of material.
Of course, this is only a theoretical valuation may not be accurate, Xiaobian does not believe. Accurate data must be tested in practice to get accurate data.
The formula for calculating the magnetic force of the permanent magnet F=BILsinθ
F is the magnetic field force, also called Ampere force, B is the magnetic induction intensity, I is the current in the wire, L is the wire length, and θ is the angle between B and the wire.
Magnetic pole magnetic force formula: F = mH, where m is the magnetic pole strength, H is the magnetic field strength, and the magnetic field strength generated by the magnetic pole is inversely proportional to the cube of the distance r.

For the above formula of magnet suction calculation, this article is for reference only.
